"Broken Time Blues" by Aaron Hedenstrom was written in 2011. The composer writes: “Broken Time Blues” is a tune that I’m excited to bring to you! This tune is a blues that is designed to be able to feature any of the band’s soloists. There are chord changes in each part. Stylistically, the tune is sneaky, with snaking chromatic melodies and quick dynamic changes (a la “Moten Swing” by Bennie Moten). This should be a swingin’ and fun tune!
